周六的时候，M6还没有发布。周日不上班，何况更重要的是丁俊辉打Hendry，顾不上Eclipse了。
周一一早上班，终于看到M6发布了，一边下载，一边看看New and Noteworthy, 没有什么太多的新东西，值得兴奋的是这一条：
"Just before EclipseCON, the IBM Rational teams developing products based on Eclipse and Java technology reported that they ran the Java compiler TCK suite using the Eclipse Platform 3.1 N20050225-0010 build and verified that the Eclipse Java compiler passed and is 1.5 compliant."
也就是说，Eclipse Java 编译器已经全面支持JDK 1.5。M6的JDT中也增加了更多的的1.5特性（如建议使用deprecated作为annotation type，而不是写在JavaDoc里面）。
另一个PDE里面的新增特性，是提供了一个Wizard，来把JAR文件转成一个plug-in的项目: File > New > Project > Plug-in from existing JAR archives。
至于性能的提高，在Windows XP 和 RedHat Linux下面，都有大幅的改进，但是常用的CVS Team，却仍然比3.0慢很多，希望M7或者3.1的正式发布版本，会把所有的性能问题解决。
